Casino Tokens Make the Perfect Vegas Wedding Favor!

What do people do in Vegas besides weddings? The gamble! How about a bag of some nickel tokens for the slots at the closest casino? Seems a little tacky right? Well, you're in Vegas for your wedding, and Las Vegas is all about the tacky. I mean they try to dress it up but it's still a big neon playground for adults. It seems like the perfect wedding favor for Las Vegas. You could also give quarter tokens or even dollar tokens depending on your budget. You could put them in a little mesh bag like people do with candy, or even find a little bag with dollar signs on it from the party store. It's the gift that screams "Las Vegas wedding favor!"

Real Casino Tokens as Vegas Wedding Favors

Be aware though, that a lot of places don't like large amounts of their tokens taken from the premises, and either way those tokens can only be used at that casino.  Of course they won't mind if all your guests come back to their slots to do their gambling will they?   Not all casinos offer denominations of smaller than a dollar.  If they don't the simple solution is to buy generic tokens from the net.

Their are plenty of places that you can order generic tokens for home slot machines.  They can be made of metal or plastic, and come in a variety of sizes with a variety of denomination.  These tokens are fairly inexpensive and usually be ordered in lots smaller than 100.  If you want something personalized, you'll probably pay more than using an actual token as a wedding favor.  The reason is that the company must make a special die to strike your coins and you'll have to order in large lots.  Usually the fewest you can get is 1000.  Look around and you may be able to find them cheaper though.

Customized Wedding Favors

If you still want to go with the personalized token, you can get plastic tokens for much less.  They can have a shiny metal look, or they can be different colors.  You won't have to order as many and the set up fee will be cheaper depending on the style that you get.  If you wanted to have a Vegas wedding theme without going to Vegas you could use these with some home slot machines at the reception just for fun.  Throw a specially marked coin into the machine and have a special prize for the guest that gets it.  There's plenty of ways to have fun with your Vegas wedding favors!

Cheap Vegas Wedding Chapel

Looking for a cheap Wedding that's still nice? Try the Little Church of the West, it is the only wedding chapel in Las Vegas on the National Registry of Historical Places. It's also the oldest existing structure on the strip.  Built in only 1942, the chapel looks like a church you would find in an old mining town, with a cedar on the outside and redwood on the inside.

Quaint and Classy Wedding Chapel

It's not huge, the chapel will hold 50-75 guests. Besides the quaint wooden of its interior, the Little Church of the West is in one of the easiest spots to get to on the Strip.  It's at the edge of Russell Road, and it's got easy access to and from I-15 so you can get in, and get out quickly.  Onto the honeymoon, right?.  They have Spanish and French speaking ministers.  They have 5 wedding packages, and you can bring your own music if you want to.

Join the Company of Many Celebrities.

Betty Grable and Harry James became the first celebrity couple to wed here in 1943,  Through the years, many celebrities, including Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton,  Zsa Zsa Gabor and George Saunders.

The prices for the packages are very reasonable, the cheapest wedding package starts at a couple hundred dollars, and even the super duper deluxe package is under $600. All the packages include music, and photographs.  A great place for a small, cheap Vegas wedding.

Las Vegas is a Favorite Wedding Destination.

Las Vegas bills itself as the wedding capital of the world and it's easy to see why.  Over 150,000 people a year flock to Las Vegas for their wedding.  It's not just a choice for those who want to get married quickly, it's also a popular destination for celebrities too.  Angelina Jolie got married to Billy Bob Thornton their.  The big stars of yesterday also chose Las Vegas as their wedding destination.  Zsa Zsa Gabor, Frank Sinatra, and Betty Grable got married in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Weddings Are Not About Tacky Anymore...

Vegas has been know as a neon playground for adults and it has a reputation for tackiness.  That's not reality, though.  You can have a tacky Vegas wedding, but you can also have the white wedding you've always dreamed of.  You can get married outside at breathtaking Mount Charleston, or in a traditional church.  You can also have a grand wedding at some of Las Vegas's larger resorts, like the Monte Lago Village resort on the banks of Lake Las Vegas.

But You Can Still Have a Tacky Wedding if You Like!

There are also little wedding chapels all over Vegas that can give you just about anything you want.  Of course nothing says Vegas like Elvis. How about being married by Elvis who will croon "Love Me Tender" to you?  Maybe you'd like a Roman themed wedding with Roman and medieval costumed ministers.  Don't forget the Vegas themed wedding favors!

Las Vegas Wedding Favors

You've decided to have a Las Vegas Wedding and you're looking for some Las Vegas wedding favors.  You've got the perfect dress, your awesome wedding shoes, and of course you've got your man.  If you've searched the web for wedding favors you'll find a lot of them out there, but they aren't exactly Vegas Wedding themed.  Well, this blog is to get you started.  You'll find some ideas that are tacky, some that are more classy.  Some are specific wedding favors, some are other items that can be made into wedding favors with a little tweaking.  Some of them you can find at the typical wedding favor sites, sometimes you'll have to be a little more creative.

First, the size of wedding you're having will help you determine your wedding favors.  Do you want to have a big, traditional church wedding, or a wedding in a resort.  Are you going to spend a lot of money on a small wedding, or a lot of money on a big wedding.  If your wedding is small you can afford to spend more per guest if you wish.  Of course, you don't have to spend a lot on favors whether your wedding is large or small.  Decide on your budget first. If you don't costs can easily get out of hand.

Second, what will the theme of your wedding be?  Will it be in a small wedding chapel, with Elvis officiating, or will it be a more traditional wedding.  If you want a traditional wedding but want to have a little fun, you can get some really tacky, kitcshy Vegas style favors.  You can even have the class wedding and then the big Vegas party for your reception.  Once you've decided on your theme, you can use this to decide on your favors.  Think outside of the box, basically you want something small, inexpensive, and something guests will enjoy.  You don't have to go to a store specializing in weddings, although you can.  Here are some ideas:

  • Vegas Themed Wedding Favors: Think about casino shot glasses, flamingos, neon sign themed, something relating to a Vegas show, mobster related, branded with a casino or hotel, etc.
  • Gambling Themed Favors: Personalized poker chips, tokens for the slots, chocolate coins, personalized decks of cards, anything dice related, fuzzy dice, dice key chains, etc.
  • Wedding Related Favors: Anything related to the location, is it in a resort?  Outdoors, Elvis themed, at a wedding chapel, on the strip, etc.
These are just some basic ideas to get you started thinking about Las Vegas wedding favors, but their are plenty more.  Have a look around for some more specific ideas and places where you can get some of those favors.  Oh, and congratulations!
